Julia Franz
Julia Franz worked as an advertising manager in agencies and organisations for many years. She was a band manager (including for Malenki Fun, MLLR, Aeham Ahmad), booker and manager of a small neighbourhood stage (Artliners Berlin/Kiezkult e.V.), talent recruiter, founder of the Berlin festival ‘Nacht der kleinen Venues’ (Night of Small Venues), member of the jury for singer-songwriter contests, and has advised and connected many musicians in their performances and promotional posters.
Julia now works as a freelance campaigner, copywriter, event, PR and social media manager. Her clients include Amnesty, Artikel eins, Greenculture Anlaufstelle, Thema1…
She does creative brainstorming, team-building concepts (e.g. for Agora Energiewende) and always has lots of ideas. Julia has a large creative network, is a positive spirit and a fighter for a better world 😊
What you can learn from me as a musician:
How do I get a gig at small Berlin venues/clubs? How do I apply correctly? What are the dos and don’ts – including for my promotional poster? I can provide you with information about specific small venues and open mics.
What others can learn from me:
How do I get journalists (the press) interested in my work (PR), how does quality booking and band management work, how do I start a festival and make it known? How do I give a good radio interview?
